Aguascalientes Events
Aguascalientes City celebrates one of the most famous fairs in the whole world: San Marcos National Fair, taking place in the month of April and the 25th of the same month represented as the most important one and lasting 30 days; a spectacular event.
Jose Guadalupe Posada’s hometown, celebrated Mexican sculptor. Aguascalientes performs the Calaveras Fest at the end of October and the beginning of November. Posada made the most famous skull images in the country such as the famous character of “La Catrina”.
Around the City
Aguascalientes counts with Real de Asientos, Magical Village; This is an interesting place with symbolic attributes, legends, history and mines. The Cristo Roto (Broken Christ), monumental piece of 24 meters situated in an island within the Calles dam. As well as thermal waters with relaxing and medicinal properties.

Tour to Real de Asientos (Magical Town)
This town founded in 1548, is characterized by its mining landscapes. One of the main interesting sites is the Tunnels and the Art Gallery of Nuestra Señora de Belen Church, which dates back to the 18th century. In the Art Gallery you will find the painting that represents “The Circumcision of Baby Jesus” unique in all Latin America, besides the diverse paintings belonging to the 18th century. Located 61 km northeast Aguascalientes City, on the federal highway No. 25, towards Loreto (Zacatecas).
San Jose Gracia of the Island (Broken Christ)
Important monument of 25 meters tall arising in the Heart of Presa streets, in honor to the ancient Viejo village.

Haciendas (country houses)
The ex Haciendas distributed in different municipalities (specially in Calvillo), which date from the 16th century, true monument from the past that amaze the visitors. Visit the ex Haciendas of San Diego La Labor, La Primavera, La Vaquera and Sauz, among others.
